Congress’s stance of not participating in Ram temple consecration ceremony is welcome, Left influence behind decision: MV Govindan

Kozhikode: CPIM State Secretary MV Govindan praised the Congress’s decision not to participate in the Ram Temple dedication ceremony.

The stance is welcome. MV Govindan stated that there is leftist influence behind the decision and the India Front can take a step forward through the decision.

The CPIM state secretary also pointed out that anti-BJP votes can be mobilized.
MV Govindan also rejected the NSS position that non-participation in the program was blasphemy.

Not participating in the program is not blasphemy. The program is being organized with political interests in mind. Believers have the right to go to temples and mosques.

MV Govindan also stated that CPIM is with the believers. At the same time, the Congress had rejected the invitation to the Ayodhya dedication ceremony to be held on the 22nd of this month.

It has been decided by the Congress that the Congress leaders who have been invited to the function will not attend. The Congress has also informed that it respectfully declines the invitation.

The Ayodhya dedication ceremony is a program of BJP and RSS. Religion is a personal matter. Congress says that RSS and BJP have made Ayodhya a political project.

The inauguration before the completion of the construction is for election gain. The Congress added that the decision was taken respecting the Supreme Court’s verdict in Ayodhya and respecting the sentiments of Ram devotees.
