Thiruvananthapuram: The DYFI state secretariat wants Kozhikode NIT professor Shaija Andavan to be expelled from NIT for commenting on Facebook that Nathuram Vinayak Godse is proud.
Tried to create a riot in the teaching community. Through a statement, DYFI demanded that he should be expelled from NIT, the country's proud institute, and strong legal action should be taken.
DYFI Statement: “NIT Kozhikode Professor Shaija Andavan, who commented on Facebook that Nathuram Vinayak Godse is proud to have saved India on Mahatma Gandhi's Martyr's Day, should be expelled from NIT. Shaija Andavan commented on a Facebook post by a pro-Sangh Parivar person praising Godse and saying that Godse is proud to have killed Gandhi and saved India.
Insulting Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, who led India's freedom struggle and became India's symbol before the world, is tantamount to insulting the country. An attempt is being made to create disunity and conflict among the various sections of the country by insulting Gandhiji by giving a heroism to Godsek, the Hindutva terrorist who killed Gandhiji. It is treasonous and an affront to history.
Shaija Andavan, a teacher who tried to create a riot in the society by saying that Godse saved India by killing Gandhi, should be expelled from NIT, the country's prestigious institute, and strong legal action should be taken.”
Meanwhile, Shaija Andavan's controversial remark was the other day. Shaija Andavan commented that she is proud of Godse for saving India in support of Krishnaraj's Facebook comment that Godse is a hero to many people.
Meanwhile, Shaija Andawan responded that she did not make a serious comment and did not think it would be so controversial. They also said that the comment will not be deleted.
