Chess crown goes to Google’s ‘superhuman’ DeepMind AI

Reaching a new height, Google informed that its AI, named AlphaGo Zero has beaten the current leading specialist software in a Chess game. DeepMind, the firm’s division, reported that the AI has managed to experience a ‘no – defeat’ at the hands of Stockfish 8 – considered as the champion in this regard. It has either beaten or conceded draw with ‘Stockfish 8’.

The algorithm, tentatively named as AlphaZero, reportedly outperformed Stockfish within just four hours of being given the rules of chess. What made AlphaZero different from that of Stockfish 8, was that of the speed with which it was able to think. That means, AlphaZero took less time than that of Stockfish 8 in terms of performing an action.
