Suriya’s ‘Etharrkum Thunindhavan’ opened well at the box office to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in 5 days and the latest reports suggest that it has reached Rs 175 crores. Suriya’s first theatrical release in three years was well celebrated by the fans.
If ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ has grossed Rs 175 crore, then it will be Suriya’s biggest box office hit as the actor’s ‘Singam 2’, which grossed Rs 130 crore WW.
‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’, which is directed by Pandiraj, is an emotional drama, and it features Suriya and Priyanka Mohan in lead roles. The film’s story revolves around how Kannabiran turns into an executioner to fight upon the violence against women in India.
The film released in theatres worldwide on 10 March 2022, along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
