Chacko’s family files a lawsuit against Dulquar’s Kurup

Kurup is a Dulquer Salman movie that is eagerly awaited by the audience. The film is based on the life of Sukumara Kurupp, the biggest catch in Kerala. The first look poster and teaser of the film was well received by the audience. Film representative Chacko’s wife and son have filed a lawsuit against the current Kurup film.

Dulquer Salman’s lawyer sent notices to Shantamma (62) and her son Jith (36) at Alappuzha Karalakam, Alappuzha, asking them to meet before the release of the film and to convince them that there is nothing in the film that glorifies Sukumara Kurup or defames Chacko.

Shantamma was six months pregnant when Chacko was killed. Jitin is the only son. In the teaser, the lawyer said in the notice sent by Advocate TT Sudheesh that the film was based on a real incident and contained a justification for Sukumara Kurup’s misdeeds. The news about this has been released by Manorama.

The film will be directed by Srinath Rajendran and Dulquer Salman after the second show. The film is being made at a cost of Rs 35 crore. This is Dulquar’s big budget film. The heroine of the movie is Shobhitha Dhulipala who made her Malayalam debut with the movie Moothon. The film also stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko, Vijayaraghavan, P Balachandran, Surabhi Lakshmi and Shivajith Padmanabhan. The film is scripted and narrated by Daniel Soyuz Nair and KS Aravind. Nimish Ravi is the cinematographer and Sushin Shyam is the music director. Vini Vishwa Lal is also behind Kurup as the Creative Director. Editing by Vivek Harshan .. The film is being produced by Wafer Films and M Star Entertainments, owned by Dulquer Salman. The film was shot in Kerala, Ahmedabad, Bombay, Dubai, Mangalore and Mysore.
