NEW DELHI: The All India Medical Entrance Examination (NEET), which is scheduled to take place this year, will be wearing a head covering, according to the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The ban on wearing burqa, hijab, kara and kripan has now been lifted. The circular also states that those wearing such garments should obtain prior permission.
The circular also clarifies that those who have medical devices in the body should seek permission before they can get the admit card.
The exam hall was banned last year from wearing a head covering for the NEET exam. This led to huge protests. There was also a situation in which the court was approached. The ban on wearing shorts for the 2020 NEET exam has been lifted following protests
