Nivin Pauly starrer ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’ has gone onto become only the second movie from Malayalam cinema to enter the coveted 100Cr club. Directed by Roshan Andrrews, makers of the movie, have come up with an official statement that the gross business amount of the movie has well past INR 100 Cr. That said, insiders also reported that this Gokulam Gopalan production is planning for a wide release in China as well. If happened, then, the movie will become the first one from Malayalam film industry to do so.
Toppling the rest, ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’ is the current number one box office opener from Malayalam film industry. With repeated audience count, the movie has thus managed to become second only to ‘Pulimurugan’ in Malayalam. With this, superstar Mohanlal has underlined his box office power, with two of his movies grabbing both the first and second spots.
