Body found in Kariyavattam campus suspected to belong to Thalassery native, driver's license nearby, indication of suicide

Thiruvananthapuram: The skeleton found inside the water tank of the Kariyavattam University campus is suspected to be that of a native of Thalassery.

A driving license with Thalassery address was obtained from near the skeleton. Investigation in this regard is in progress.

Cap and glasses were found inside the water tank. The remains are being examined by a forensic team.

The preliminary conclusion is that the body remains of a man. It is suspected that he hanged himself inside the tank. A twisted rope was also found. A rope is tied from outside the tank and that rope is put inside the tank.

The preliminary conclusion is that the dead body may have rotted and fallen into the tank after hanging. Meanwhile, yesterday evening, a skeleton was found inside a water tank in the campus which had been unused for years.

An umbrella and a bag were found near the water tank by the staff who inspected the spot. During the inspection, bone fragments were found inside the tank.
