PRIV, Blackberry’s first Android smartphone, has been receiving updates on a regular note for the past 2 years. Well, the company has officially issued a statement saying that it will no longer provide monthly update for PRIV. While issuing the statement, company officials maintained that they had kept their promise of giving monthly updates at the time, when the device was launched.
However, Blackberry made it clear that they will be offering some trade up programmes for PRIV, as well as BB10, BBOS users. It must be noted right here in that no smartphone has got the luxury of receiving monthly update for 2 years on a continuous note.
