Thiruvananthapuram: BJP has appointed film actor Devan as its state vice-president. State president K. Surendran announced the appointment of film actor Devan as BJP state vice president.
With Devan becoming the BJP state vice-president, BJP workers are in high hopes. The hope of BJP workers is that BJP will achieve great success next term under Devan’s leadership.
Meanwhile, Devan, who formed a party in the name of Kerala People’s Party in 2004, later merged with the BJP.
The merger was at the end of a successful journey led by K. Surendran. Union Home Minister Amit Shah accepted Devan and the party into the BJP.
Devan had previously contested two elections but failed.
