Off late, a number of Malayalam actors have ventured to the political arena, though the female participation in this aspect seems not quite eye catchy. One such an actress, whose name was heard with national politics, is Vani Viswanath. She was rumoured to be going to try her luck at Andhra politics, with her name being heard associated with Telugu Desham Party. Though the actress has not made any sound statement regarding contesting for the party, her husband Baburaj has thrown light to some interesting facts. The actor, while giving interview to a leading media portal, maintained that his wife might not take up politics, though she was offered numerous offers from TDP.
During the interview, Baburaj also maintained that TDP was actively looking for Vani to fill the void left by yet another actress, Roja, in the party. That said, Baburaj was of the opinion that Vani hadn’t turned down the offers blatantly; rather, she wanted to concentrate more on the studies of the couple’s daughter, who is at tenth standard right now.
