New Delhi: The central government has announced a holiday for government institutions across the country on January 22, the day of Ayodhya Prana Pratishtha.
The holiday has been announced till noon on January 22. Government offices, schools and colleges across the country will be closed from morning to 2.30 pm.
The holiday was announced to facilitate the people to watch the live telecast of the Prana Pratishtha ceremony. The central government issued a notification in this regard.
On January 22, the Prime Minister has directed the ministers to turn on the lights in their homes and provide food to the poor. Ministers have also been asked to celebrate like Diwali.
Also, the Prime Minister has instructed the ministers to send people from their respective parliamentary constituencies to Ayodhya in trains after January 22.
