Kerala has registered a total of 1169 new Covid positive cases. The number of samples that turned negative stands at 688. With this, the total number of covid cases in Kerala has reached 25,891, while the state’s total active cases have reached 11,342. A total of 14,467 people have recovered from the disease. Amongst those who have turned positive today, 43 are from overseas, while 95 came from other states.
The state has registered 991 cases through transmission in the past 24 hours. Out of those who caught the disease through transmission, the sources of 566 are yet to be traced down. Incidentally, the state has also recorded 1 more Covid death case, taking the tally to 82. Vijayalakshmi (68) from Thiruvananthapuram has succumbed to death.
