Attappadi video song “Elelamma” from ‘Signature’ out now!!

The first video song from the film Signature, ‘Elelamma’ directed by Manoj Palodan was released on Thursday. The song has all the flavors of the movie which is entirely shot in the jungles of Attappadi. The beauty of Muduka language has also been expressed in the song.

The song ‘Elelamma’ written by Santhosh Varma and sung by Vrinda Menon with music by Sumesh Parameswar, is the heart touching song of Attappadi.

‘Signature’ is the first Malayalam film to use the tribal language of Attappadi, Mudukka, and is a thriller film that weaves together the story of the constant exploitation and violence in the Attappadi villages.

Manoj Pandolan’s ‘Signature’ is about a tribal youth who is a traditional medicine practitioner, fighting against evils in his land and nature’s extraordinary interaction with those real struggles. The director reveals that the film takes the story of the forest rangers’ attempts to confuse E 117, who is making the life of the Adivasis miserable, into an exciting story context.

Uru Moopan Thankaraj, a teacher at Attappadi Agali School, plays an important role. The film features Karthik Ramakrishnan in the lead role with Tiny Tom, Alphy Panjikaran, Balachandran Chullikad, Chembil Ashokan, Shaju Sreedhar, Akhila, and Nikhil. ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ fame Nanjiyamma also plays an important role in the movie.

Signature is produced by Libin Paul Akkara, Arun Varghese Thattil, and Jassie George under the banner of San Jose Creations. Screenplay and dialogues penned by CMI priest Fr. Babu Thattil. S Lawell is the cinematographer.

The movie crew aims to capture Attapadi’s uniqueness and give the audience a different cinematic experience.
