Ather has announced of launching its electric scooter – S340 in India on June 5th. The e Scooter, according to the reports, might be launched in India as simply ‘Ather 340’. Expected to come with a range of 60 km, Ather 340 will get an Androd based touchscreen infotainment system. Thought announced the launching date, the Bengaluru based Ather Energy, however has not divulged much about the e – Scooter.
Industry reports suggest that Ather 340 would come with premium offering and would be one of the most expensive electric scooters in India. There would be push navigation, over the air updates, parking assist system, waterproof charger and to name a number of features. The e – Scooter would be launched in India in a phased manner, while Bengaluru would be the first Indian city to get the vehicle. Expected to be powered b a 5kW brushless DC electric motor, Ather 340 would generate a power of 6.4 bhp, while the peak torque figure would be 14 Nm.
