At 14,999, Xiaomi A1 makes mid segment more complex

Featuring Android One for the first time, Xiaomi has launched its latest smartphone, Xiaomi A1. The smartphone, which is exclusively available on Flipkart and company’s website Mi.com, costs INR 14,999. Coming in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colour variants, Mi A1 also happens to be the first smartphone from the company featuring two back cameras in India.

At 7.3mm thin, Mi A1 spots a dual-rear camera, having a 12MP wide angle, with a 12MP telephoto lens – featuring 2x optical zoom. The smartphone also spots a 5MP camera. Draped in full metal body with rounded edges, Xiomi Mi A1 has a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution display, coupled with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. Running on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with Android UI onboard, Xiaomi Mi A1 has an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, with 4GB RAM. The phone has an inbuilt storage of 64GB, which can be expanded using a microSD card.

It also supports 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, hybrid SIM card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS and Bluetooth. Powered by a 3080mAh battery, the latest outing from Mi family spots a fingerprint sensor.
