Debutant director Manu Asokan has made a lasting impression in Mollywood, with the project Uyare. The Parvathy starrer was off to extremely positive responses from elsewhere, with audience and critics praising the directorial approach of the debutant and the performance from the lead cast. While giving interview to a media portal, Manu Asokan maintained that he had invested much time on casting.
Maintaining that there was no option other than Parvathy for the role of ‘Pallavi’, Manu was all in praise for Asif Ali for doing the role of ‘Govind’ in the movie. Adding that the role ‘Govind’ was highly detested that most people would not agree to play the role. Incidentally, Asif Ali was also cautioned by many to not do the role. The role, which demanded an inverted image of Asif Ali, which was contrary to his star image, was neatly handled by the actor. Manu Asokan has also praised Tovino for attempting a role, which had less time space.
