Apple seems to be wasting no moments to position its place in the entertainment segment. Well, the company, which was in active talk with that of Shazam Entertainment in terms of buying it, finally reached in on terms with an amount. However, the recent $1 billion valuation of Shazam seems to have not helped the company to fetch a proportional deal from Apple. As reported by tech website TechCruch, the deal said to have cost Apple to shed out just $400 million. Shazam Entertainment (which is already using Apple’s Siri digital assistant), is primarily aimed at identifying songs, when users pointed out an audio source to it.
The arrival of Shazam under its belt, will definitely help Apple Music to cater a wider range of services to its users, the subscribed members of which have crossed 27 million.
