Apple has hiked the prices of iPhones, following which the government had increased the import tax on mobile phones. In line with an incrase of import tax by 15 percent from an earlier 10 percent, Apple has hiked the price of iPhones on an average of 3.5 percentage. That said, iPhone 6 scored the highest in this segment with an increase of 4.3 percentage of price hike.
While the prices of iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the rest have got hiked their price, the case was a bit different for iPhone SE. As the model is being assembled in India, the model is exempted from the imported tax.
