Apple has been at the receiving end of a couple of lawsuits last year. Well, the company seems not going to have an end to the problematic days. Portal Communications has filed a lawsuit against Apple, citing infringement of three patents related to natural language voice query systems. It must be said that Apple iPhone uses the technology on its virtual assistant Siri. The case is filed at Eastern Texas District Court; Portal Communications cited that its patents are entitled as ‘Multimodal natural language query system and architecture for processing voice and proximity based queries.’
The technology was utilized by Siri on Apple devices compatible with iOS 3.2 or later versions.
