The family of Lally Teacher, whose heart was donated through the state government’s Mruthusanjeevani program to Lissa a resident of Kothamangalam, who is being treated at Lizzy Hospital is become successful. After five hours of surgery, Leena was taken to the ICU overnight. Dr Jose Chacko Periyapuram, who led the surgery, said the heart taken from the Lali Teacher was become operational in Leena in 3 hours and 52 minutes. Dr Jose Chacko explained to Leena the health information after a thorough health check-up in the morning. The medical team said that they were fully satisfied with the condition and Leena was on a ventilator and could be removed from the ventilator tomorrow. The hospital commends everyone who helped to complete the mission successfully. Cardiology department head Dr Rony Mathew Kadavil explained the follow-up tests and treatments.
