Researchers of Malwarebytes have reported that Android device users were at the risk of being hijacked for the process of cryptomining. Going in line with the reports, the devices would be hijacked without giving any prior information and would result in forced redirects and Trojanized apps.
As was informed by the researchers, users of infected smartphones would be asked to enter a CAPTCHA and asking to press continue button. By doing so, the smartphones would come under the control of cryptominers. Further adding the research finding made it clear that the cryptomining procedures would considerably reduce the performance of smartphones.
