Android Smartphones spotted with malware

As was reported by a cyber security firm, a number of smartphones in India are under security threat. Reportedly a number of affordable smartphones come preloaded with several malwares. As was suggested by the reports, the devices were carrying an adware, named ‘Cosiloon’, which is not certified by Google. Since it comes pre installed with the device on a firmware level, it is not usually possible for users to uninstall the app.

However, the infected apps would not come visible, if not checked under the list of system applications in the settings. The situation is the same among similar budget smartphones sold not just in India, but across various markets.
