Android P is expected to be ready by 2019, and the successor to Android Oreo has got some great updates. Announced couple of months ago, Android P would no longer allow apps to track the network activity of users’ phones. With this, apps won’t be able to detect users’ networks and would require user permission, every time it attempts to.

This is a major step taken by Google in order to safeguard users, while the latest changes would be arriving to Android SELinux rules. However, SELinux changes would only be able to enable designated VPN apps to access network information. That said, apps would continue accessing information regarding user network, until 2019.
