AMD has launched the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D CPU. It is the world’s first laptop-grade processor featuring stacked 3D V-Cache technology. It boasts an impressive 128MB of L3 cache.
The Ryzen 9 7945HX3D ZEN 4 16 Core 32 Thread CPU. It is divided into two CPU “chiplets”, each packing eight cores, alongside an I/O die.
One of the CPU chiplets is equipped with 64MB of stacked 3D V-Cache. This results in a total of 128MB of L3 cache.
CPU enthusiasts will quickly notice that the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D mimics the Ryzen 9 7950X3D desktop processor. The laptop-grade CPU has a TDP of 55W, and during boost mode, clock speeds can reach up to 5.4GHz.
AMD’s innovative 3D V-Cache technique promises to enhance gaming performance. The AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D boasts an average performance boost of about 15 percent in games compared to the ‘regular’ Ryzen 9 7945HX, which lacks 3D V-Cache but shares similar specifications.
