Amazon has renewed its contract with NFL for streaming Thursday Night Football matches. Amazon has secured streaming rights of the games for the next two seasons. Earlier, the games were broadcasted on television by Fox and NFL Network. However, it was Amazon’s massive Prime Membership figure of 100 million, which prompted NFL officials in signing a deal with the company. According to NFL chief media and business officer Brian Rolapp, partnering with Amazon would ensure that NFL games reach a wider audience outside the US.
Well, Amazon’s Q1 2018 reports too underlined the growing presence of Amazon across a wider customer base.
