Akshay Kumar has congratulated the team of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ for winning big at the 68th National Awards. The ceremony was held on Friday afternoon in Delhi.
Actor Suriya shared the Best Actor award with Ajay Devgn, who won for ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ while Aparrna Balamurali bagged the Best Actress award. The film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ won the Best Feature Film title.
Taking to Twitter, Akshay Kumar tweeted, “Actor Suriya shared the Best Actor award with Ajay Devgn, who won for ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ while Aparrna Balamurali bagged the Best Actress award. The film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ won the Best Feature Film title.”
Meanwhile, Suriya recently welcomed Akshay Kumar on board for the project. The Hindi remake will mark Suriya’s first film as a producer in Bollywood. It was also reported that he will be seen making a cameo in Akshay’s film. ‘Soorarai Pottru’ director, Sudha Kongara will be helming the Hindi remake as well.
