The Center has withdrawn three controversial agricultural laws. Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the announcement. The important announcement was made by the Prime Minister on Guru Nanak’s birthday.
He said the bill to repeal the rules would be tabled in the next winter session of Parliament. The announcement comes as assembly elections in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh draw near. The government is committed to the welfare of farmers. He said he understood the plight of farmers in the country.
