Tamil actor Sarath Kumar has joined the BJP. This time, BJP's plan is to bring prominent people to the party and achieve great success. Sarath Kumar is an influential leader in southern Tamil Nadu. In the 2011 Tamil Nadu assembly elections, the Samatva Makkal party won two seats. He worked in collaboration with Jayalalitha's Anna DMK. Sarath Kumar's position is that only Narendra Modi can take the country forward strongly. But the BJP was interested in a merger rather than an alliance. In Kerala, PC George's Janakash Party merged in a similar manner. Janapashka's plan was to first become a part of NDA and become an ally of BJP. Later, BJP demanded the merger. The plan is to bring the possible leaders closer to the BJP in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
At the same time, it is reported that he will be the BJP candidate in Tenkasi Lok Sabha constituency. No official announcement has been made. Sarath Kumar is expected to get Nadar community vote. If he contests, Sarath Kumar will have to face the DMK. He may come to campaign for Suresh Gopi in Thrissur. DMK is giving away most of the seats in southern Tamil Nadu to its allies. But DMK may contest in Dindigal, Tenkasi, Tirunalveli and Thoothukudi constituencies. Three fronts namely DMK alliance, AIADMK alliance and BJP alliance are seeking the mandate in Tamil Nadu this time.
