Actor and screenwriter P. Balachandran hospitalized with meningitis He was admitted to a private hospital in Vaikom a few days ago due to illness. Balachandran, a native of Sasthamcotta, Kollam, came to cinema from teaching. P Balachandran is a talented playwright, film director, playwright, screenwriter and actor. Balachandran made his directorial debut with ‘Ivan Megharoopan’, scripted several films including Content, Pavithram, Agni Devan, Rehabilitation and Kammattipadam. He has received the Kerala Chalachithra Academy Award and the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy Award.
