A special team should be formed to investigate Siddharth's death and strong legal action should be taken against the accused; Chief Minister with the proposal

Chief Minister's order to form a special team to investigate the death of Siddharth, a student of Pookode Veterinary College, Wayanad. The chief minister has given instructions to the state police chief.

The Chief Minister directed to take strong legal action against the accused. Meanwhile, the police have registered the arrest of one of the prime accused in Siddharth's death.

The police recorded the arrest of Akhil, the main suspect. One of the 12 people who led the attack was arrested. 11 more people are to be arrested.

Police will issue a lookout notice against them. Siddharth, a second year BVSP student and native of Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram, died.

Siddharth was found to have committed suicide in the hostel's washroom on the 18th. Siddharth died facing mob trial, brutal beating and mental torture.

An eyewitness student said that Siddhartha was brutally beaten up between 14th and 18th of this month.

Meanwhile, the number of people arrested so far in the case is seven. However, the accused SFI unit secretary Amal Ihsan and union president Arun are still absconding.

The police have charged the accused with incitement to suicide, assault and the prohibition of ragging act.
