The efforts of Facebook in tallying with Snapchat continue, as the social networking site has added yet another Snapchat like feature on the Messenger platform. The new feature, which is called the ‘World Effects’, is in fact resembles that of Snapchat’s ‘World Lenses’. Essentially, both are augmented reality features, which drop 3D objects into your surroundings.
That said, you will have the luxury of having 3D objects to power your photos, instead of the 2D emoji sets. Announcing the World Effects, Facebook maintained that right now, there are only three 3D objects currently available in the platform – Heart, arrow, and robot; bubbles and words such as ‘love’, ‘heart’, and ‘miss you’ completes the list.
