A 75-year-old woman staged an indefinite sit-in in front of the Thodupuzha taluk office. They allege that they are not giving title to the land in her possession to validate the encroachment of the neighboring government officials. At the same time, the Thopupuzha Tehsildar explained that if he is eligible, he will be issued a certificate soon. For more than four decades, government offices have been going up and down for Kalayanthani Kurichipadam Alakel Ammini Pattayam. No solution. Meanwhile, they are alleging that the revenue in the area is barren and more than half of their 10 cents of land has been encroached by the government officials who are residents of Ayala.
Pattaya approached the revenue department several times to protect the rest of the land. With no solution, the hope was for the New Kerala audience. The complaint given there was sent to Thoppuzha Tehsildar. Still, the sit-in started in front of the taluk office when there was no movement. At the same time, the revenue officials admit that the complainant has a right to the land. Their explanation is that title will be given to deserving land after further inspection. The revenue officials said that if anyone takes possession of the waste, the government will take it back. Ammini is of the position that the strike will end only after getting the title to the land. Many people demanded to stop the strike due to health problems, but they did not give in.
