50,000 products, Free Delivery: Know how Jio Mart will transform India

There is no doubt that the Facebook-Reliance Jio partnership will bring some new changes in India. Both companies have money, and they may already have too much data on Indian users. When all of this is used commercially, competitors may conclude that the ground is in danger. Anyway, the full scope of this new partnership is impossible to predict right now. But it seems that the biggest change for the giants will be for Jio Mart.

What is Jio Mart?

Jio Mart is an ecommerce service launched by Reliance in January this year. Currently this service is not available in many parts of the country. Those who are in Thane, Navi-Mumbai and Kalyan can now try Jio Mart. Moreover, you can buy the essentials even during this lockdown. Some of the key features of Jio Mart includes free delivery, yes there is no delivery charge for the goods you buy, no matter how low the cart price is. The other is No Questions Asked Return Policy. If you don’t like the item, you can return it. Saying why you don’t like it is a feature that many people may not like. Another crucial factor is Reliance’s claim that the goods purchased from JioMart are better than their competitors. Reliance claims that with these things Jio Mart will be able to provide better service to its buyers and save money in ways India has never been able to.

The company plans to distribute all the groceries that everyone needs from the 50,000 grocery items at Jio Mart. No need to look for a mustard seed anywhere else. The service is now available only on the web (https://www.jio.com/jiomart) but will soon be available on both Android and iOS apps. However, the app will only be launched after JioMart is available all over India. The company also offers savings of up to Rs 3,000 for pre-registrants.

Expected Changes in The Market:

The value of the Jio platforms rose to $ 570 billion with the purchase of 9.99% of Jio shares by Facebook. The next step in this collaboration is the launch of the WhatsApp Business App. WhatsApp’s features are much more familiar to Indians using the Internet than the drawings in their palm. It would be a huge change if the Facebook-Reliance alliance brought small vendors under its umbrella and started trading as they did through WhatsApp. The goal of both companies is to provide a shopping experience that has never been experienced online. Both companies will be preparing the household goods for those who wokeup in the morning with WhatsApp.

WhatsApp Business:

You can use WhatsApp Pay or Jio Money, which may soon be approved, to pay for items purchased through JeoMart. Both of these are likely to appear as a service. WhatsApp business has been available in India for some time but it is not as popular as WhatsApp, the main messaging service. WhatsApp business is used to reach a certain segment of users. With the JioMart and WhatsApp business coming together, millions of small and medium businesses in India can join this umbrella. With this platform, you can make shopping easier and reach out to customers directly. It can be seen as a colossal and unique business experiment in which payment can and should be made.

What Happens to the Competitors:

BigBasket, Groffers, Amazon and many others are already involved in the grocery business in India. With the growing number of people who want to get groceries home during Lockdown, many people like Zomato, Zwiggy, and Uber have begun to buy groceries. There is no question that all of these companies are in danger of getting Jio Mart connected to WhatsApp. Jio and WhatsApp have over 75 billion users. But one of the most important things is how many local sellers Facebook and Jio Mart can keep up with them. However, it is expected that big changes are afoot for the Indian online shopping industry.
