Turning down widespread reports of security patches, UC Web informed that there were no security issues associated with the app. Earlier it was on Thursday, when the got removed from the Play Store, citing violation of Google’s policy. However the exact reason for which Google removed UC Web from Play Store is unknown. Reacting to the reports, UCWeb spokesperson ensured that the application would return back to the Play Store by next week.
Earlier there were reports of an unknown person, named ‘Mike Ross’ claiming to be working for UC Browser, all of which were turned down by the company. Believed to be bigger than Google Chrome in terms of market share in India, UC Web’s younger siblings, UC Browser Mini and UC News, are still available for download in the Play Store.
