Facebook has announced during th F8 conference that it would be expanding the blood donation feature in India. The company informed that the feature would help donors connecting with people in need. Launched in October last year, the feature is available across three Asian countries – India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. As was informed by the company during the conference, it would create a Blood Donation hub and ease out procedures. All set to be live in a few weeks’ time, donors would then be able to view the nearby blood donation camps.
Another important decision, which the company has made, was that of the ‘Crisis Response Center’. The feature enables users to share the details of first person accounts.
