Xiaomi is aggressively making its presence felt in Indian market – across different segments. The leading Chinese company will be launching a new smartphone in India on March 14. While the company is yet to reveal the name of the product, it is been reported that the model would be Xiaomi Redmi 5. Earlier, in December, Xiaomi had launched both these models in the Chinese market.
Going in line with the launch in Chinese markets, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 will have two RAM/ROM combinations – 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB. Both these were priced at 799 Yuan and 899 Yuan. Converting to the Indian standards, they would respectively come under the 9K and 8K segments. Having a 5.7 inch display, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 will have a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. Running on Android 7.1.2 Nougat, Xiaomi Redmi 5 will be layered by MIUI 9 on top.
