Reports from tech insiders suggest that Xiaomi is testing Redmi Note 5 internally and is going to launch the device by the second quarter of 2018. This is quite opposite to the earlier heard reports, which suggested that Xiaomi is going to drop the Note brand with Note 4 being the last device in the series. Interestingly, the device is going to be powered by a Snapdragon 632 SoC. While it might not be as powerful as that of Snapdragon 636 SoC, it however is going to retain the Qualcomm’s Spectra 160 ISP.
Going in line with the reports, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will sport a 5.99 inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device is expected to be priced for RMB 1,599 – INR 15,600 according to the Indian standards.
