Xiaomi has launched a third variant of its hugely popular Redmi 5 smartphone. Already present in 2GB and 3GB RAM versions, Redmi 5 will now have a 4GB RAM variant as well in China. The 4GB RAM variant of Redmi 5 has been priced at CNY 1,099. The amount, if translated to Indian standards, stand at INR 11,000. However, apart from the slight upgradation in RAM capacity, Redmi has incorporated no changes at all for Redmi 5.
Having an inbuilt storage of 32GB, Xiaomi is yet to make an official announcement regarding the availability of Redmi 5 in India. Sporting a 5.7 inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, Redmi 5 is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC. It features a 12MP rear camera, whereas it is a 5MP sensor, which you would find on the front side.
