Already reigning on the top position of India’s Smartphone market, Xiaomi is all set to launch two of its most awaited smartphone models – Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. However, the Indian audience would have to wait further to get a glimpse of these two hot selling names. It is to the Chinese market, which Redmi is going to present both Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. The date, as was mentioned by Xiaomi on their Weibo post, is on December 7th.
Redmi 5, which is expected to sport a 5.7 inch HD display, will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 SoC, which is to be mated with a 4GB RAM. Having an internal memory of 64GB, the smartphone is expected to have a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera; it is to be backed by a 3,300mAh battery. It would be priced RMB 1,399 – approximately translating to INR 13,600. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 5 Plus would be coming with a 5.9 inch full HD display, while the rest of the features are reported to be same as those of Redmi Note 5. However, as was reported by the trade pundits, the smartphone would have a dual camera combination of 12MP and 5MP sensors powering it.
