With 2.8 Km long ‘SheshNaag’ train Indian Railway set another record

Four empty box racks, 4 brake van, 251 wagon in total, 9 engines and a total length about 2.8 km Indian Railways set another record for the longest train in the country. The train named ‘SheshNaag’ was run with nine engines, overcomes the Anaconda category train which has 3 engines.

The Nagpur division, which is under the South East Central Railway, is the holder of the longest train in India. The train service from Nagpur division to Korba has created this new record. According to the Railways, the 260-kilometer route was completed in less than six hours.

 

‘SheshNaag’ broke the Indian Railway’s train record of 177 coaches in super anaconda category. Indian Railways has released a video of the 2.8 km long train run. Three engines are provided on the front and the remaining three trains are given two engines each. The train had four empty box racks and four brake vans.
