The owner of YouTube channel ‘Chekuthan’ is in police custody for making defamatory comments against actor Mohanlal, who visited him in military uniform. The case was registered under Sections 192,296 (b) KP Act 2011 120(0) of the Indian Penal Code. He went into hiding after the case was registered. In the FIR, the police say that the remarks were made with the intention of defaming Mohanlal in the community and creating hatred in the fans and creating a riot in the society.

Mohanlal holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Territorial Army. Mohanlal’s unit, Madras Regiment 122, had come to Wayanad for rescue operations. It was in this context that Mohanlal arrived at the scene in military uniform and directly assessed the situation. But ‘Chekuthan”s response was to slander this. Aju Alex has shared many posts and videos related to Mohanlal’s visit on his Facebook page ‘Chekuthan 2024’. One of them is…
‘So many soldiers behind one, that too in distress, in the middle of a rescue operation. After everything was done, I even saw the selfie and photoshoot with a celebrity taken and posted at the end of the mission. It seems like there is no professional ethics. Why does the army need Mohanlal’s advice in the midst of this? Is there a need for a film actor to bring enthusiasm and energy to the army? Does the army need Mohanlal to come there on such an occasion wearing a military uniform? Is it practical for people who have passed the retirement age to work in such fields? Are healthy and courageous young people working? In what other countries have you seen movie actors go down and show like this when things are like this? It is always in the post
