Actor Siddique’s son left us yesterday. His name was Rashin. His nickname was Sappy. He was a mentally challenged person. Many people are coming forward to share their memories of Thappi. Now a post written by Anoop Satyam on Facebook is going viral in a big way.

“When I saw my son in a father – Siddique Ikka’s son Rashin has not woken up since yesterday. Sappy’s decision is to sleep further. He was a child of 37 years. All the ceremonies are over. At night, when all the people have left, Siddiqui speaks about the snake. I am listening to all this while sitting with my father. He was sitting on the veranda next to his sleeping room. Perhaps because he is an actor, Siddique has become this sappy when talking about sappy. Everything on the way will be stacked. When you see chicken, you get cravings. If you see the dark, you will be afraid. Sappi trembles with epilepsy like the wind coming over Orkapuram. The son was turning into a father again when his eyes were full of tears.

Sappy’s favorite place was the library. Loved World Books a lot. If there is a gap, Sappy’s face will shrivel up a bit. But if you go to the library then you will be happy. Books that are carelessly dragged by other people will be taken to their respective places. That’s why Sappi used to love the library so much that he used to come there. From today he will have to do the job alone.

One of the words my father said to Siddiq Iqa in the midst of appeasement was – He was happy in his world. Were they not able to grow up without the hypocrisy and mask that we all have in a home where there is only one love? Dad was right. What a peaceful life that would be. Siddique talked about Ikka Sappi as if he were talking about his son who had left home. He had a great memory. Everything will be seen in his memory. If you ask him about a day in the next year, he will tell you the date and the week very quickly. One day he took a bicycle which was left in the yard and went somewhere. When he got scared, we all went down to pat him. After an hour he returned by himself cycling. None of us had seen him ride a bicycle before. When he saw me for the first time, he said, “Wapa, don’t fight.” I said no. I held both his hands tightly. Siddique said with a sigh – His hand was nothing like ours, it was very soft like a flower. He must have heard Siddique Ikka say this from the back room. It’s dark there, maybe Sappi will get over his fear of the dark now” – writes Anoop Sathyan.
