Volvo is reportedly preparing to launch the XC40 on the Indian turfs by the first week of July 2018. Revealed back in September 2017, the smallest SUV from Volvo has already met with positive response from the international markets. Expected to be priced in the range of INR 30 Lak – INR 40 Lakh, Volvo XC40 would be holding many of the features of the company’s Volvo XC60. That said, the SUV would be based on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform, rather than the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform of its elder sibling.
Having a 9 inch infotainment system inside the cabin, the SUV comes with the support of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Essentially a 5 seater, Volvo XC40 would be powered by a 2 liter, 4 cylinder unit, which churns out a maximum power of 187bhp, while the peak torque figure stands at 400Nm.
