Vivo has launched Y83 in a low key event in China. Powered by the latest chipset by MediaTek – Helio P22, Vivo Y83 comes in a premium design. Essentially a mid range device, Vivo Y83 sports a 6.22 inch display with HD+ resolution, and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The eight Cortex A53 cores will enable the device to clock a speed of 2.0GHz. There would be a RAM/ROM combination of 4GB/64GB inside the dock. It runs on FunTouch OS 4.0, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
While an 8MP sensor powers the selfie shooter, Vivo Y83 accommodates a 13MP sensor on the rear side. The device comes packed with Face Unlock feature, and a 3,260mAh battery under the hoods. Priced at 1,498 Yuan (approximately 16,000), it is not known whether Vivo Y83 ventures to the Indian market.
