With VivoBook S15 and ZenBook UX430, Asus has expanded its long lineup of laptops in India. The models, which are respectively priced at INR 59,990 and INR 74,990; while the later has already reached the market, the former will however be available from October 1st onwards.
As far as the Asus VivoBook S15 is concerned, the device has a 15.6-inch a full HD (1920 x 1280) resolution with 178° wide-view technology. Also the NanoEdge display will deliver an 80% screen-to-body ratio for the device. The 8th Generation quad-core Intel Core i7-8550U and i5-8250U processor powers VivoBook S15, and it has a memory that reaches up to 16GB DDR4 2133Hz. Another feature which make this device an impressive package is the inclusion of dual storage drives. Besides spotting a 1TB hard disk drive (HDD), VivoBook S15 also has a 128GB solid-state drive (SSD). In order to equip the device with high end graphical tasks, there is NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card.
Offering a reversible one USB Type-C port, one USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI port, VivoBook S15 is claimed to have “SuperBattery” technology associated with it, which gives three times the battery lifespan in comparison with that of conventional laptop batteries; you can also spot Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. connectivity options with this device. At 361 x 243.5 x 17.9mm, Asus VivoBook S15 weighs 1.7 kg.
On the other hand, ZenBook UX430 happens to be Asus’s thinnest ever ZenBook with a discrete graphics card. While the display of the laptop is of 14-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) measurements, it essentially is with NanoEdge display. ZenBook UX430 is powered by Intel 8th Generation Core i7 processor and the main memory is 16GB DDR4 (2133MHz) and the storage capacity touches the 512 GB mark. It has all the major connectivity options, with a Type-C USB 3.1 Gen.1 port, Type-A USB 3.1 port, USB 2.0 port, Micro HDMI and an SD card reader, completing the list.
