Actor Asif Ali has demanded the return of those who resigned from the star-studded organisation AMMA in connection with the attack on the actress. The actress had resigned from AMMA in 2018 after being attacked. Geethu Mohandas, Rima Kallingal and Remya Nambeesan had also resigned from AMMA in solidarity with the actress.
Asif Ali, who is also the executive member of AMMA, said that the members who had quit, should return and that the ICC, which was set up 4 years back, will now come into existence. He said that though the actress is not a member of the organisation, she is active in the film industry.
Talking about inaction against rape accused, actor and producer Vijay Babu, Asif Ali said that there is a limitation in taking action under AMMA’s rules and that action cannot be taken outright. Asif Ali made this clear in an interview with Manorama Online.
