Responding to the incident of not being allowed to enter the senate hall of the University of Calicut, SFI State Secretary PM Arshaw said, ‘This is not the kabaddi field where you can play kabaddi, but the university senate. A prescription given from the branch with Eman seal is not enough to enter its gate. He says that if you go to the candy store with it, you will get good halwa, and if you catch it on the shore, it will be blown away by the wind.
The SFI workers protested by taking control of the gate to the Senate Hall where the meeting was held in the presence of the police since morning. Praveen Kumar, Manoj C, Harish. SFI blocked AV, Balan Putheri, Afzal Gurukal, Ashwin etc. saying they were Sangh Parivar nominees. The police intervened too late. By the time the SFI workers were removed one by one, the agenda was quickly considered in the Senate hall and the meeting ended.
The SFI had earlier stated that it would block 9 Sangh Parivar members nominated by the Governor. SFI is taking on the sentiments of the public in Kerala. So far no Sangh Parivar supporter has reached the Kerala University Senate. It is also said that this is why they are being transported using the governor.
