The computers of Tesla got hacked as a result of which they got access to Tesla’s cloud environment. The hackers were identified as group of cryptocurrency miners, who were after getting access to Tesla’s scripts. However, Tesla company officials maintained that the incident won’t affect the users of Tesla. The data access, which the hackers gained, was limited only to test cars.
As was reported by RedLock security report, the attack was in line with the rising price of cryptocurrencies. With the prices of cryptocurrencies going through an extremely volatile nature these days, cryptojacking is something which fetches huge profit. Well, Tesla took no time to resolve the issue and awarded RedLock $3,133.70 for notifying them the attack.
