Director, producer Karan Johar and actress Alia Bhatt have expressed strong criticism over the death of Sushant. Alia and Karan are continuing to protest on social media after they allegedly insulted Sushant on the ‘Coffee with Karan’ show. Alia lost over five lakh followers in Instagram in three days. Alia and Karan unfollowed by nearly three lakh people on Twitter. People also have come to the scene with support for Alia. The hashtag “I Stand with Alia” is a Twitter tweet.
Karan asked Aaliya, the guest of the show, to rate the three actors in an old episode of ‘The Coffee With Karan Show’. The names were Sushant, Ranveer and Varun Dhawan. Alia’s comment was, Who is Sushant? This is what irritates the fans. Karan is known in Bollywood as an advocate of nepotism. Actress Kangana Ranawat has openly spoken about this in the past.
